Fundraiser for Japan, New Zealand quake victims in Richmond

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - A special concert was held tonight in Richmond to raise money for the victims of the earthquakes in Japan and New Zealand.
Singer and event organizer Cherelle Jardine says she got the idea for the fundraiser after a friend called her. "My girlfriend is from New Zealand, and when the earthquake happened in Christchurch, she contacted me right away and said you know, 'I've got to do something for my country after all the devastation.'"
Performers included the Jardines, the Avelino brothers, Arlene Hewitt, Greg Meloche, and Les Finnigan. |
