VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Christy Clark says her duties as Premier might keep her from debating with other candidates wanting to become MLA in the Vancouver-Point Grey by-election.

That's a disappointment to her biggest rival. David Eby was recently announced as the NDP candidate for the West Side riding. He welcomes the challenge, but says it's disappointing Clark can't make time for voters.
Clark says she hasn't ruled out the idea, but the vote is three weeks away. "It might happen, you never know. We're working on the schedule now. The issue with being a premier and running in a by-election is you also have to run the province at the same time, so we're trying to work out the timing."
Clark and Eby face an independent and a Green Party member as they campaign for the May 11th by-election.
The BC Conservatives ruled out a candidate running against Clark for the riding. |
