the ones who started the riot werent the fans...but the majority of the fans at that area certainly didnt help the riot to stop after

same group who demonstrated in the pre-Olympics.  They came prepared with gas, goggles etc.

so even if the Canucks have won, there would be NO difference.

My boss went to the game last night.  He said that there were some drunks/fans caught in the mayhem.  But the real trouble-maker came prepared with things for throwing in their backpack and used fire-extinguisher as weapon and smashing windows.  How many real fans carry fire extinguisher in their backpacks?  I agree win or lose, there are people in the crowd determined to create trouble.
