0 CRESTON (NEWS1130) - Mounties in the Kootenays are on the lookout for two accused serial gas station robbers. Two brothers and two women are accused of using a sawed-off shotgun in two Alberta robberies. In both robberies the suspects used ATVs to get away.
RCMP Corporal Dan Moskuluk says the women were caught trying to cross the border in to the U-S, but the men escaped.
"The two females associated with the brothers are in custody this morning in Creston and the brothers may have tried to cross the border into the United States illegally."
Police think Michael and Jason Butz may be dressed in camouflage and armed with that same gun somewhere near the border.
They're asking people in the Creston area to be cautious and report any suspicious thefts including vehicles or ATVs.
Ian Butz is white, 5'8'', 150 lbs. He is 28-years old, has brown hair and brown eyes. Jason Butz is white, 5'8'', 203 lbs. The 26-year old also has brown hair and brown eyes. |
