Fresh Corn..... question, weather, getting, friend

sorry I know this is kinda a stupid question in this cold weather ^_^;;;
but does anyone know if there is still chance of getting FRESH corn? (with leaf/ear? and silk.....)
my friend is looking for it >.<

I saw some at 鄧嬸's supermarket at Victoria Drive, Vancouver last Sunday.
Actually you can always find packed fresh corns in supermarkets. About 2-4 pieces in a pack, but without any leaves.

cuz my friend is specifically looking for the leaves for boiling soup or something +_+

I didn't remember seeing any at the Farmers market on Sat....
So... I guess she needs to find those imported from the South...

My mother used to get the 粟米鬚 to make soup for my father. The Chinese herbalists said it's good for diabetes patients.

much easier in the summer.  and I saw people just went to T&T to collect the 粟米鬚 from the big bin.
