VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - The Crown has approved 26 more charges against 8 more suspected rioters, with the majority from Surrey.
None of the people charged are from Vancouver, one person is from as far away as Comox.
The most serious charges includes assaulting a police officer.
Vancouver Police now say 103 charges have been laid against 38 people since the June 15th Stanley Cup riot. More charges are expected and hundreds of pictures will be released over the next few weeks.
Here are the latest charges:
1) Eric Palmer, a 26-year-old Surrey resident
Approved Charges: Participating in a riot and break and enter
2) Duncan Yee, a 20-year-old Surrey resident
Approved Charges: Disguise with intent and break and enter
3) Sean Yates, a 22-year-old Burnaby resident
Approved Charges: Participating in a riot and assaulting a police officer
4) Joshua Pharand, a 19-year-old Chilliwack resident
Approved Charges: Participating in a riot and mischief (two counts)
5) Samia Ahmed, an 18-year-old Surrey resident
Approved Charges: Participating in a riot and break and enter (two counts)
6) Chelsea Andrews, an 18-year-old Surrey resident
Approved Charges: Participating in a riot and break and enter
7) Arian Anwari, an 18-year-old Surrey resident
Approved Charges: Participating in a riot, carrying a weapon, baton, for dangerous purpose and mischief
8) Timothy Lau, a 21-year-old Comox resident
Approved Charges: Participating in a riot, break and enter (two counts) and mischief (six counts) |
