Firefighters put out huge fire at South Burnaby warehouse
Firefighters have extinguished a huge warehouse fire in South Burnaby that broke out this morning.
The fire started shortly before 8 a.m. in a commercial building in the 7500-block of Willard Street north of Marine Way.
Burnaby RCMP say the building was vacant and there have been no reports of injuries. Firefighters have put out the blaze and fire officials are investigating.
The cause of the blaze is not yet known.
Photos posted on social media showed flames coming off the roof and massive plumes of thick black smoke in the air over Burnaby.
