Looking for PT Computer Sales Specialists

Hi,

My department is currently looking for candidates to fill 3 sales specialist positions in our busy Vancouver West 41st Ave location.

The store carries Toshiba, Apple, HP and Sony computers, gaming consoles and other accessories. Tasks include sales and merchandising of products and services.

Due to the knowledgeble clientale and company culture, good knowledge of computers and technology is a must. Candidates don't have to know all the technical aspects, but at least can distinguish the differences in features and be able to highlight main points for similar products. (eg. On a laptop, what's the difference between the T2330 CPU and the T5450 when they are both running at 1.6Ghz? What is the main advantage for a Core 2 Duo over Core Duo?)

We are not commisioned, however certain brands have sales incentives for higher margin items.

We have over 50 locations in BC, we are a Canadian based company in business since 1945. With over 6000 staff and constantly expanding, there are ample advancement opportunities.

Please contact me if you are interested.

Philip

1) T2330 is a Pentium Dual-Core CPU, it only has only 1MB of L2. FSB is 533Mhz. Much better than a Celeron, but not as good as a Core based CPU. T5450 is a mid-range Core 2 Duo, it has 2MB L2. FSB is 667Mhz. Good for mainstream consumer use.

2) According to Intel, Core 2 Duo performs 20% faster, 20% cooler than Core Duo. (I don't think it is true in real life)

While other places say they are not commissioned, it is not 100% true. Goods are sold with 3-10% margin these days and stores cannot possibly afford to pay commisions. Therefore there is something called the sales incentive that is given to the stores by the manufacturers. In theory, it is an incentives to sell certain goods, but the money is not made from the consumers. I guess this way, consumers won't feel pressured when buying goods.

Commissioned enviroment or not, if I don't quality the customer well and sell the wrong products. The customer will come back for refund = more work for me. Why don't I do it right at the beginning? The customer will apperciate you more.

PS. Unlike people in Richmond, the customers in my location have the $$$ to spend. Once they put their trust in you, they will stick with you.
