Did you have a disaster pack for your house?

Where is it stored?

What do you have inside?



Just want to share some ideas with you guys...
the plan i have sound scary ...but...i just going to take the precaution whatever it takes

I have one, so far I have very simply item since I have no money

I have
-jumppack
-Water (and collaspable container)
-Can Food
-Uility Knife
-flash light
-Light personal 1st aid kit
-Rope
-HF/VHF/UHF two way handheld radio (you can listen to radio station)
-Radio with batteries
-Vinyl Sheetx2  (6'x8') for shelter and other purposes
-"OK" / "HELP" sign
-Paper and Marker
-Vinyl non adheresive tape (marking purpose)
Total weight 7.6kg
and i am storing it at my window in my room (for now)

If I have more money, I will also get the following...
1) for the exsisting pack
-replace personal 1st aid kit to survival 1st aid kit
-signal flare
-GPS
-asprin



2)-Extra one more backpack with personal water + food + 2 way handheld radio like the one above
plus the follwing:
-Climbing Rope + Climbing hooks
-more durable army knife
optimal weight 10kg


3)WCB 3 1st aid kit + 3x wool blankets

3)-water tight supply crate with wheels
-Extra water and extra food and extra drugs
-Water filter and container
-More Ropes
-Shovel
-more vinyl sheet for shelter
-infatable boat + oar
optmal weight no more than 20kg

Storing place will be a shed outside the house

i know it sound insane but i am expecting it with keep me and 5 other people survive in the 1st week without help in most disasters...(beside tsuanmi)

cant count on the goverment some times...

Theoretically, you might want to include a reasonably small mirror for SOS reflection. (since flash light only works during night time and not too noticeable in daytime, but reflection of sunlight from a mirror is so much stronger!)
However, in case the disaster happens all of a sudden in less than a few seconds, you won't be able to get your "emergency pack" in time la (and that would be the most common situation). For example, in case you're peeing in the bathroom but your "emergency pack" is in your bedroom/living room/even right at the entrance..., your ceiling starts to collapse (due to strong earthquake) in a second, you won't be able to reach the pack la. If you really prefer to have something like an "emergency pack", I suggest you to study a course or to read some books in order to have the survival knowledge in your brain instead of holding some actual tools on hand lor!
