First time taking a cab in Canada

I know I may sound stupid, but it is going to be my first time taking a cab in Canada, that's why I need to ask you guys for advise.

I will be flying to Winnipeg for a business trip and will take a cap from the airport there to the hotel.  My questions are: how much tips do I need to pay the driver? Do they take credit card?

Usually I just pay a small tip....say the trip was $22, I might pay $25...especially if they help with your luggage. They might also charge a price for each piece of luggage.
As for credit card, yes, most cabs in Canada take visa..you can also ask for a receipt if you are going to claim with your company.

if you are paying by credit card, let the drivers know at the beginning of your trip. if you are claiming expenses, cash is the best because the drivers will most likely round up the bill (which incl the tip).

Yes, most importantly is let the driver know that you are paying credit card before he START the METER, coz as I remember, they need to program ( punch a different button) the meter differently for Credit Card. so let them know ASAP.

For tips, may be 10% , and may be $1 for bags?

Oh, one more thing, I would also suggest you ask the driver the about traffic situation ( how much time it would take) on the day and time when you need to get back to the airport. They usually have a more accurate time, so you can manage your time better.
