Is it just me? Have you all noticed that most of the Chinese restaurants have papers or curtains covering a part or all of the windows?
I think they are trying to cover up if the restaurant is not busy at all? I remember one time it was sunset. One place in particular we went was unusually busier than normal. The waitress insisted in opening the blinds even when the light was quite blinding. Everyone sitting by the windows had to squint while eating. The blinds are normally closed.
I do have some questions though. Is it due to the above reason for the window covers? Aren't they afraid that if customers can't see the inside, they are afraid to try it out? Aren't they afraid that they become an easier target for robbery?
Damn! there are a couple of new places I want to try but afraid to go it coz I can't see the inside of them while driving by... |
