I've been there. The food is not bad for the price. Though I ordered duck and the meat was tough. Our desserts, consisted of cream brulee and soffle had water in it. (that's usually the result of poor cooking process - somewhereintime can verify that)
However, I feel that the services can have room for improvement. The waiters are inexperienced.
Eg: Asking if I was finished eating with her hand extended to grab my plate while I was eating and still food left on it.
(not sure if this is policy or service related)
My friend wanted to switch the lobster bisque to mushroom soup. The waitress said no. We found it them to be very unflexible. What if my friend is alergic to lobster? Although my friend said she will still pay for the mushroom soup at the lobster bisque's price, the answer is still NO.
Really don't know how to do business lor. Really just forcing customer to go with a lower priced set dinner to avoid a soup. Honestly, IMO, if they are more flexible, it's win win for everyone. Customer happy, restaurant saves food cost.
IMO, I'd rather pay more to go to Le Crocodile . Although not too expensive but the food and service is only so so. I'd rather either pay more for the best or might as well go for hk style tea cafe if I don't want to spend the money.
environment wise, IMO, really tooo tooo noisy. With their live singing mixed with the noise (normally what you hear when yum cha) isn't very enjoyable. |
